Sift in the dry ingredients and mix in alternately with the kefir.
250 g golden wholemeal flour, 50 g cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda (baking soda), 250 ml kefir, buttermilk, sour milk or watered down yoghurt
Stir in the chopped chocolate.
60 g white chocolate, 60 g milk chocolate
Spoon into 15 muffin cases.
Bake at 180℃ (350℉, Gas 4) for 20 minutes.
