If ever you need chocolate inspiration or a chocolate recipe, this We Should Cocoa page is the place to come. We have literally hundreds of chocolate recipes, gathered together in themed collections to make them easy to find.
The collections in this post are in the process of being updated. It could take a while, so please come on in anyway and find some chocolate recipes. We have loads of them.
What Is We Should Cocoa?
We Should Cocoa, aka #WeShouldCocoa, began as a monthly baking event for food bloggers. It was based on … you guessed it … chocolate!
It is now, however, a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to cook or bake with chocolate.
We started We Should Cocoa in September 2010. That is me, Choclette and Chele formally of Chocolate Teapot. We ended it on 1 September 2018 exactly 8 years after it started. And we had a grand total of 96 challenges. Just wow!
The idea was to make something with chocolate each month. The first seventy #WeShouldCocoa events were themed. The host selected a special ingredient or theme each month. They covered everything from chocolate with blackcurrants to layer cakes to fame to red hot chillies to Christmas to savoury chocolate recipes.
From September 2016 it was pretty much a free for all. As long as the recipe contained some sort of chocolate or cocoa substance. All recipes are vegetarian, but although most are sweet, some are savoury. You’ll also find a wide range of recipe styles from simple to complicated.
What we have now is a fantabulous collection of chocolate recipes to inspire beginners as well as established bakers. Some of the recipes are the originals, but there are many new and updated ones that are being added all the time.

Chocolatey Thanks
Thank you to everyone who’s participated in We Should Cocoa. Some of those who linked up to the final one in August 2018 were in from the very beginning. I’m looking at you Suelle from Mainly Baking and Phil from As Strong as Soup. Now how’s that for dedication.
Lots of bloggers have guest-hosted in the past and I’d like to say an extra special thank you to them. We’ve had a lot of fun along the way and some absolutely fantastic chocolate creations over the years.
We Should Cocoa Recipe Collections
We ended up with a whopping ninety six recipe collections. I’ve either amalgamated, or I’m in the process of amalgamating, many of the recipe collections to make it simpler to find just what you’re looking for. I hope you find them useful. Do take a look.
